Basics

Do not worry if you are new!

MUN stands for Model United Nations. It encompasses the basic principles and procedures of the United Nations. Each MUN club is different and unique in its own way, which is why we ask both experienced and inexperienced delegates to go through our training sessions or resources. Traces of MUN date back to around 1947, making it one of the oldest extra-curriculars which are surviving till today other than sports. At Worldwide MUN, we want to foster negotiation and communication skills within our new members.

MUN encourages students and participants from all around the world to engage with others on different global issues. It invokes a sense of unity as well as healthy competition between different delegates and their respective blocs. We teach and provide our delegates with research, speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

Mun with us

"Delegates are the heart of this organisation"

At Worldwide MUN, we believe in placing the needs and wants of our delegates above any other member of this organisation- delegates are what make our conferences possible and the least we can do is provide them with a comprehensive and holistic experience.

If you decide to become a part of our club, then you will be able to flourish and grow into experienced delegate who will be able to debate on any platform.

We ensure to award our delegates where appropriate. We firmly believe that by awarding our delegates, we are able to motivate them even more to become confident and determined debaters.

As for our leadership members, they also play a vital role in ensuring our conferences run smoothly and without any hiccups. Therefore, they deserve the utmost respect. For them, we also provide training sessions and resources. This includes our Secretariat Members, Staff Members and Chairs.
